Mammals, mammals, mammals! Such variety from the elephant to tiny shrew! All are homeothermic (warm blooded), haired or furred, all young are fed from mammary glands that produce species-specific milk, and all mammals have 3 middle ear bones that transmit sound from the tympanum to the inner ear. With those similarities they then diverge from minute to massive, winged to hooved, antlered to fuzzy, marine inhabitants to desert dwellers, to swimmers and rock climbers. This gallery will continue to grow as I see and photograph more of our fellow Mammalia in my travels!
